This Babette's Feast film poster was printed as a limited edition in London, England. From Black Dragon: "Prints are produced by the finest printing professionals using archival inks on sustainable, museum-quality paper stock, made to stand the test of time."
Babette's Feast is a 1987 Danish drama film directed by Gabriel Axel. The film's screenplay was written by Axel and based on the 1958 story by Isak Dinesen. Produced by Just Betzer, Bo Christensen, and Benni Korzen with funding from the Danish Film Institute, Babette's Feast was the first Danish cinema film of a Blixen story.
As part of the update of my portfolio, I made several changes to color and type- integrating hand lettering over the image, itself. The commissioned poster with type can be found below in its original printing format. Discovery of the final version requires a number of iterations and I went through dozens before settling on the printed edition. In the original, the type treatment adorned the outside border.
